Got Storage Questions? Not sure how self storage works or what to expect? We’ve put together answers to the mostcommon questions renters ask about unit sizes, security, pricing, and more. Whether you’re moving, decluttering, or justneed extra space, this guide will help you feel confident about choosing the right storage option for your needs.
Q1: What do I bring to sign a rental agreement?
A1: Valid driver’s license or government issued ID and form of payment. Credit/debit card is preferred.
Q2: How do I make payment?
A2: You can "Pay Online” on our website. Pay by phone. Visit the management office Monday – Sunday: 9am – 6pm.
Q3: Do you accept cash payment?
A3: Cash is not accepted, and cash is not kept on premises.
Q4: Do I have 24 hr access?
A4: Gate hours are Monday – Sunday: 6:30am – 8pm.
Q5: Are units climate-controlled?
A5: Our units are not conditioned.
Q6: When is my payment due?
A6: Payments are due every month on or before the anniversary date of your contract. Pay early to avoid late fees.
Q7: Are payments prorated at move-out?
A7: Contract periods are per month, paid in advance. Partial month are not refunded.
Q8: Is there an Administration Fee?
A8: We charge a one-time Administration Fee to hold your space, check credit, process applications, and associated overhead costs.
Q9: Is there a dumpster on-site for customer use?
A9: There are no waste handling accommodations for customers on-site.
Q10: Is electricity available to my unit?
A10: Storage Units are not separately metered, and recepticles are not available.
Q11: Can I live in my unit?
A11: Our facility is not zoned or insured for residential use. This is strictly prohibited.
Q12: Can I store food and beverages in my unit?
A12: To deter rodents and insects, the storage of any foodstuff is prohibited.
Q13: Is pest control available?
A13: Property and building perimeter pest control is performed monthly.
Q14: Can I change my payment due date?
A14: Yes. Please see your manager
Q15: Can I attach shelves and make improvements to my unit?
A15: Only freestanding shelves and organizers are allowed.
Q16: What sizes are available?
A16: We can meet most of your storage needs. Contact management or visit us online to view available units. Use our space calculator to refine your search.
Q17: Is the facility secure?
A17: Our facility is protected by CCTV, infrared sensors, and motion detectors. Or management is on-site 24/7, and robust disc locks are provided at move-in. Management does not keep keys to your lock.
Q18: What items are not allowed to be stored?
A18: Foodstuffs, flammable items, HAZMAT, items defined as "illegal" by State and Federal guidelines.
Q19: Do I need Insurance?
A19: You are strongly encouraged to insure your stored property. The property does not cover any of your stored items. You will be auto-enrolled in a company sponsored insurance program and given an opportunity to opt-out. See your manager for details.
Q20: Can I reserve a unit?
A20: You can reserve a unit by phone, in-person or online.
Q21: Can I change units?
A21: You can change units by phone, in-person or online.
Q22: Do you offer Moving Supplies?
A22: Yes, contact your manager for details.
Q23: What is the minimum contract period?
A23: One month.
Q24: What kinds of payment do you accept?
A24: Check, credit, or debit card. Cash is not accepted.
Q25: Can I store a vehicle?
A25: Yes! We have many options for storing cars, trucks, RV's, and large equipment.
Q26: Can I use my own lock?
A26: We provide a secure disc lock on all units. Management does not keep a key.
Q27: What happens if I miss a payment?
A27: You will be notified. Late fees may apply. Abandoned property will be handled according to Washington state law.
Q28: What is Self-Storage?
A28: A facility where you may store your property for an agreed-upon monthly fee.
Q29: Are Carts or Dollies provided?
A29: Carts and dollies are available for your use on-site.
Q30: Is a truck available?
A30: A box truck is available for use, FREE when use requirements are met.
Q31: Do you accept package delivery?
A31: We do not accept any third-party deliveries of any kind due to liability issues.
Q32: Can I store a Storage POD at your facility?
A32: Due to space constraints, we can not locate Storage PODS on property.
Q33: Do you provide prepayment discounts?
A33: YES! We will offer a discount for prepayments, and it is highly encouraged.
